Business Development Lead (Italy) — open and own a new market for an AI video intelligence company. Milan or Rome, hybrid.
A European AI company is building solutions that automatically detect situations of interest in video streams — deployed across public and private sector environments, civilian and defence, strictly GDPR-compliant. Mission-driven, and aiming to become Europe's leading video intelligence company.
We need someone already embedded in the Italian market, able to reach the right entities within one or two calls — not months of cold prospecting.
What You'll Do

- Identify, approach,
and close BD opportunities with public sector bodies and large private operators across Italy
- Build and activate a trusted network of decision‑makers — municipalities, government/defence‑adjacent entities, transport, logistics and security operators
- Move fast from first contact to signed agreement, leveraging relationships you already have
- Act as the primary local point of contact, coordinating with leadership on deal strategy and occasional in‑person visits
What We’re Looking For

- A proven BD/sales track record in Italy, with a network you can activate immediately
- Native or fluent Italian and fluent English
- Familiarity with Italian public procurement and public‑sector buyers
- Based in Milan or Rome preferred; elsewhere in Italy also considered
- Self‑starting, fast-moving, and comfortable selling into security, defence or public‑sector buyers
