SENIOR MARKET FACING UNDERWRITER Job Purpose/Role Reporting to the Property Team Leader, you will be in charge of developing and executing the strategy for the Property & Liability risks into the Italian market. You will be the contact person for selected agents working with the Mid-Corporate team, supporting them in the business development. You will also support the local strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the Allianz Mid Corporate targets. Key Responsibilities * Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines. * Steer and control the portfolio at local level to drive the achievement of financial targets. * Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle. * Work closely with Sales departments, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling. * Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities,
corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework. * Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products * Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations) * Communicate local business strategy externally Key Requirements/Skills/Experience * Master's degree in Engineering or Economics or Law * 9-15 years proven experience in underwriting profitable Property including both PD/BI and Theft and Liability business for Corporate Clients. * Preference if also experienced in Multinational clients. * Proven leadership skills * Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle. * Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills * Ideally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings * Ideally experie
