Job Description Summary We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our team Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Cost Center CC003641 FLO - Wound Care - IP (FMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-28 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Job Description Under the direct supervision of the Director and/or Charge nurse, performs the primary function of a registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients in both the inpatient & outpatient settings; responsible for meeting standards of Wound Care practice set forth by regulatory agencies & nursing practice in the management of all assigned patients; assists medical staff with the development and implementation of wound treatment through consultation; plans & participates in performance improvement review activities; acts within the; guidelines of federal & state laws, Joint Commission standards, and professional & ethical practice. Additional Job Description Education:



* Graduate from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred. * Completion of an accredited wound care course/training preferred. Experience: * 2 years medical surgical nursing experience required * Knowledge of comprehensive wound management including wound assessment, formulation of treatment plan, recommendation of appropriate wound dressing, documentation, evaluation, education, data collection, surveillance and outcome data required. * Knowledge of wound related products & procedures required Licensure/ Certification: * Active RN license to work in South Carolina required * Current BLS required * Certification in Wound Care preferred Physical Requirements: * 1.
