Who We Are The role will ensure that different applications, modules and capabilities are perceived by users as a coherent and integrated ecosystem, defining platform-level information architecture, navigation, interaction patterns and cross-product journeys. A key responsibility will also be to define the experience for consuming and interacting with data, ensuring that information from different products and data sources is structured, presented and explored in a clear, intuitive and actionable way.
The role combines strategic UX thinking with hands-on definition and validation, working closely with Product, Business, UI, Engineering and Data teams to translate complex functional and technical capabilities into simple and consistent user experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
- Define the end-to-end UX strategy for a multi-product platform, ensuring consistency and usability across applications, modules and shared capabilities
- Define platform-level information architecture, including global navigation, product discovery, entry points, cross-product journeys and transitions between applications
- Design how different products and capabilities should work together as part of a single platform experience rather than as isolated applications
- Identify opportunities to simplify, unify and standardise experiences across products, reducing unnecessary differences, duplicated patterns and fragmented user journeys
- Define the experience for consuming and interacting with data, including how users search, filter, explore, compare, prioritise and drill down into information
- Define information hierarchies and data presentation models that help users understand complex information and support effective decision-making
- Design user journeys, screen structures, interaction models and functional layouts through wireframes, prototypes and experience maps
- Define UX patterns for shared platform capabilities such as search, navigation, notifications, permissions, user context, filtering, data exploration and common actions
- Research user needs, behaviours and pain points and translate findings into platform-level UX improvements and priorities
- Consider the experience of different user profiles, roles and permission levels, ensuring that navigation, content and available actions remain understandable and relevant
- Define and document interaction behaviour for normal, empty,
loading, error, permission-related and exceptional states
- Validate concepts and proposals through user testing, usability evaluations, prototypes and other research methods
- Measure and improve the experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence, including task success, errors, friction points, adoption and user satisfaction
- Define shared UX principles, patterns and guidelines across the platform and contribute to the evolution of the design system
- Collaborate closely with Product, Business, UI, Engineering, Data and QA teams to ensure that UX decisions are technically feasible and correctly implemented
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and product teams to align on user journeys, information architecture and platform-level experience decisions
- Document UX decisions, functional behaviour and acceptance criteria and review implemented solutions to ensure alignment with the intended experience
What You'll Bring Along
- Significant professional experience in UX, Product Design, UX Architecture or UX Strategy for complex digital products
- Demonstrable experience defining information architecture, navigation and end-to-end experiences for complex web applications or platforms
- Strong expertise in information architecture for complex digital platforms and large-scale navigation models
- Proven experience designing multi-product, multi-module or platform ecosystems
- Strong understanding of cross-product user journeys and the ability to optimise the experience at platform level rather than application by application
- Expertise in interaction design, user-centred design, visual hierarchy, navigation patterns and responsive design
- Strong understanding of Data UX and information visualisation principles
- Experience defining experiences involving dashboards, search, filtering, sorting, drill-down, comparison, progressive disclosure and complex information structures
- Experience designing experiences where data or information is aggregated from multiple products, systems or data sources
- Ability to simplify complex workflows, technical capabilities and large volumes of information into intuitive user experiences
- Experience designing role-based experiences involving different user profiles, permissions and levels of access
- Proficiency in Figma, including wireframes, interactive prototypes, Auto Layout, components, variants and developer handoff documentation
- UX research and evaluation techniques, including interviews, user journeys, heuristic evaluation, usability testing, card sorting and tree testing
- Experience defining end-to-end user journeys, service blueprints, experience maps and platform interaction models
- Knowledge of accessibility principles and standards, particularly WCAG 2.2 Level AA, including keyboard navigation, focus management, forms, contrast and understandable messaging
- Experience working with design systems, shared components and reusable UX patterns across multiple applications
- Ability to interpret product usage metrics, behavioural analytics and usability data to identify friction and prioritise improvements
- Experience with analytics and UX testing tools such as Microsoft Clarity, Maze or equivalents
- Ability to explain and justify UX decisions using research, user evidence, business objectives and usability principles
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence, or equivalents
- Nice to have:
- End-to-end experience from discovery and problem definition through conceptualisation, prototyping, validation and review of the implemented solution
- Experience with enterprise platforms or large-scale digital ecosystems supporting multiple business areas and user roles
- Experience defining UX strategy across several interconnected products
- Experience with data-intensive applications, analytics platforms, dashboards or decision-support tools
- Experience defining or evolving global navigation models and platform shells
- Experience working with federated product teams where different teams own different applications within the same platform
- Experience working with AI-enabled products, conversational interfaces or experiences combining traditional interfaces with AI-generated information.
