Role Description This full-time PhD Student role at Università degli Studi di Verona is an on-site position based in Verona. The PhD Student will conduct original research under the supervision of faculty, including designing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to academic publications. Daily activities include performing literature reviews, attending seminars and research meetings, collaborating with research groups, and presenting findings at internal and external events.

The role also involves contributing to teaching activities where appropriate, such as supporting laboratory sessions or tutorials, and participating in departmental initiatives. The PhD Student is expected to manage project timelines, maintain accurate documentation, and actively engage in the academic community of the university.

Qualifications

- Strong research aptitude, including the ability to conduct literature reviews, formulate research questions, and apply appropriate methodologies.
- Solid academic background in a relevant discipline, with a completed master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to analyze data,



interpret results, and present findings clearly in written and oral form.
- Proficiency in academic writing and familiarity with scholarly communication, including preparing articles, theses, and conference presentations.
- Effective collaboration skills to work within research teams and engage with supervisors and peers constructively.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and academic responsibilities.
- Competence in using relevant digital tools, such as research databases, statistical or analytical software, and document management systems.
- Strong command of English or Italian (and ideally both), with the ability to participate in international academic environments.
- Motivation to pursue long-term academic or research-oriented career goals and contribute to the university’s research output.
- Prior research experience, publications, or conference participation are considered an advantage.
