Overview In this role you will join a cross-functional team as a Scala engineer to help scale Moneyfarm’s backend architecture for rapid user growth. You will become the go-to backend expert, delivering high-quality, well-tested code while continuously improving systems and reducing technical debt. You’ll collaborate to adopt new technologies and share knowledge to strengthen the platform. The opportunity combines hands-on coding with shaping architecture and engineering practices in a fast-moving fintech environment.



Responsabilità * Build understanding of the Moneyfarm architecture and contribute improvement plans * Produce high-quality code with sufficient test coverage * Conduct constructive code reviews and help improve team practices * Stay updated on industry developments and their relevance to the company * Share knowledge to improve Moneyfarm systems and colleagues’ work Requisiti fondamentali * Minimum 2 years of commercial software engineering experience * Bachelor in Software Engineering or Computer Science (preferred) * Scala commercial experience preferred but not essential if strong transferable skills (Java 8+, Kotlin) * Experience with microservices, event streaming, cloud providers * Kafka, Kubernetes and AWS knowledge a plus * Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Kanban/Lean) * Experience with Git and code reviews * CI/CD knowledge (GitLab CI) * Attention to testing and detail * Experience in fintech or wealth management is a plus * English communication skills; Italian is a plus * pragmatism * collaboration * bias for action * Scala * Java 8+ * Kotlin
