Nova VPM Travel & Logistic Services is an established tourism company operating in the B2B travel market, specializing in group travel, customized travel services and ground transportation across Europe.

Our business operates through two brands:

- MakeTourism: Tailor-made travel solutions and destination management services for international clients.
- EurobusNetwork: Coach and ground transportation services throughout Europe.

We are looking for an experienced Tour Operations Supervisor to take ownership of our day-to-day operations, lead the team and ensure that our services are delivered efficiently, profitably and to the highest standards.

The Role

This is a hands-on senior management position for an established tourism professional, not an entry-level or training opportunity.

You will be responsible for the overall coordination and performance of the Operations Department, combining team leadership, supplier management, commercial negotiation, cost control and operational problem-solving.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, make sound commercial decisions and take full ownership of operational outcomes, with the experience and judgement to manage complex situations without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service Delivery

- Oversee the full operational cycle of group travel services, from planning and supplier coordination to final delivery.
- Ensure that services are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with agreed quality standards.
- Manage operational issues, unexpected changes and urgent situations, taking timely and effective decisions.
- Establish and improve procedures to increase efficiency, consistency and service quality.

Team Leadership

- Lead, coordinate and develop the Operations team, ensuring clear responsibilities, priorities and accountability.
- Organize workloads,



monitor performance and ensure effective collaboration across the department.
- Provide guidance and support while maintaining a strong focus on results and operational standards.

Supplier & Contract Management

- Take ownership of the existing supplier portfolio, including hotels, coach operators and other ground service providers.
- Review and renegotiate contracts, rates, payment terms, cancellation policies and commercial conditions.
- Identify, assess and negotiate with new suppliers to improve competitiveness, service quality and profitability.
- Build and maintain effective long-term supplier relationships.

Budgeting & Profitability

- Monitor operational budgets, costs and margins.
- Support forecasting, cost control and financial planning for operational activities.
- Identify inefficiencies, commercial risks and opportunities to improve profitability.
- Ensure that operational decisions are aligned with the company's commercial objectives.

Cross-Department Coordination

- Work closely with Sales and Management to ensure that services sold can be delivered efficiently and profitably.
- Contribute to operational planning, business development and the continuous improvement of company processes.

Required Experience & Skills
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in tourism operations, preferably in a tour operator, DMC, travel management company or group travel business.
- Previous experience in a senior operational or team leadership role, with direct responsibility for coordinating people and processes.




- Solid knowledge of tourism suppliers and operational services, particularly hotels, coach transportation and ground services.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, contract management and commercial cost control.
- Practical experience in budgeting, monitoring costs and managing operational profitability.
- Strong organizational skills, sound judgement and the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions.
- Excellent working proficiency in Italian and English. French is also required for this position; additional languages are an advantage.
- Good command of operational software and business tools.
- A proactive, pragmatic and commercially minded approach, with a strong sense of responsibility.

This position is intended for candidates who can demonstrate relevant, hands-on experience and are ready to take responsibility for an existing department. Candidates whose experience is primarily junior, administrative or limited to assisting an operations team will not be a suitable match. What We Offer
