Material & Demand Planner – Supply Chain & Inventory Planning

Location: Locate di Triulzi, Milan, Lombardy, Italy

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: €30,000–€35,000 gross annually

Additional Benefits: €5.20 daily allowance and potential performance-based premio

Role Overview A Material & Demand Planner is required to support supply chain operations within an industrial manufacturing environment. The role focuses on material availability, inventory management, purchasing and supplier coordination to ensure production schedules are met and manufacturing operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily material availability and identify potential shortages affecting production.
- Analyse production plans and material requirements to ensure adequate supply.
- Coordinate the timely procurement of raw materials and components.
- Raise purchase orders for production requirements and inventory replenishment in line with company procedures.
- Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders and delivery dates.
- Resolve supply issues and coordinate alternative solutions with the Planning Manager.




- Work closely with Production Planners to align material availability with production schedules.
- Maintain and update planning parameters within ERP systems.
- Monitor stock levels, inventory coverage and material turnover.
- Prepare reports and performance indicators to support planning and supply chain decisions.

Requirements
- Technical diploma or degree in Management Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in Material Planning, Demand Planning or Supply Planning.
- Good understanding of supply chain processes and material planning principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Analytical problem-solving ability and a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to collaborate across production, planning, purchasing and supplier teams.
- A proactive approach to managing supply challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Ability to commute independently to the company's site in the southern Milan area.
