For a European Research & Innovation project in digital construction and the built environment, AITOWN is looking for candidates with a background in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Construction, Architecture or related fields, interested in applying AI and software technologies to real construction and building challenges.
The work involves applied R&D; around Generative AI, BIM, Digital Twins and digital applications for construction, with a strong focus on experimentation, rapid prototyping and turning research ideas into practical tools.
What we look for
- Background in Civil, Building, Construction, Architecture or related fields
- Strong interest, preferably hands-on experience, in AI/GenAI and digital construction
- Some experience with coding, data, software/app development or digital engineering
- Experience building prototypes, apps, automation or AI-assisted solutions
- Fluent English
Nice to have
- Experience with Digital Twins, BIM, IoT, computational design or construction data
- Relevant thesis, research, GitHub or personal projects
- Feel confident with Vibe Coding
We are open to different levels of experience and collaboration formats, including internships, tempo parziale research collaboration and longer-term roles. PhD candidates and researchers looking for part-time collaboration are particularly welcome.
Depending on the candidate’s profile and the development of the project, the collaboration can grow into a longer-term role with increasing responsibility.
