About the role
We are hiring our first business development manager in Italy.
This is a field role, not a desk role.
You will spend most weeks meeting clients in person.
You will own Italy end to end, from first meeting to repeat orders.
Once Italy is running well, you will help open nearby markets.
You will report directly to management in Singapore.
What you will do
- Build and own the sales pipeline across Italy
- Meet clients face to face, on site and in their offices
- Win monitoring firms, engineering consultants and main contractors
- Run demos and support pilots with our engineering team
- Grow key accounts into long-term, repeat customers
- Represent Ackcio at Italian trade shows and industry events
- Prepare proposals and quotes with our Singapore team
- Keep our CRM accurate and up to date
- Share market feedback with our product and management teams
What we are looking for
- 5+ years selling into construction, geotechnical or infrastructure
- An existing network among Italian monitoring firms and contractors
- Solid understanding of geotechnical or structural monitoring
- A track record of closing technical B2B deals
- Happy to travel most weeks within Italy
- A self-starter who works well without close supervision
- Fluent Italian and professional English
- A full driving licence
Nice to have
- Experience with wireless data loggers or IoT monitoring
- An engineering degree, ideally civil or geotechnical
- Links to tunnelling, rail, dam or mining projects
- Another European language, such as French or German
