Most automotive YouTube channels are an afterthought. We want ours to be the reason people find us.
Classic Driver is where the world's finest classic and collector cars are bought, sold and written about. For over twenty-five years we have been the address for a global audience of collectors, dealers and enthusiasts. We consider ourselves a brand built on taste, access and content standards that the rest of the industry measures itself against.
We have the cars. We have the access. We have a production team shooting at the Monaco GP Historique and the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. What we are looking for is the person who turns that into a YouTube channel that compounds.
This is not a role where you post the videos. This is the role where you own the channel.
What you will ownYou take the lead on Classic Driver's YouTube channel, joining our existing social media team as its YouTube specialist. Two things sit squarely on your desk:
Subscriber growth. The number goes up, and you are the person accountable for it. Together we will set the targets,
you will report against them, and you will be given the room to run the experiments that get you there.
Packaging. Every video we publish should have the best possible chance of performing. Titles, thumbnails, hooks, chapters, end screens, the first thirty seconds. You own the decisions that determine whether a film our in-house team spent a week in making finds viewers in the hundred thousands .
Around those two things: channel strategy and format development, working with our production team on what gets made and how it is structured, analytics and the discipline of acting on them, and the daily craft of running a channel properly.
What you bringYou have grown a YouTube channel before, and you can prove it. This is the one requirement we will not move on. You should be able to name the channel, tell us where it was when you arrived and where it was when you left, and talk us through the specific decisions that
