Job Description Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department. The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli - IT.
Accountabilities Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for mechanical components
Analyze and assessment of technical documentation from Suppliers




Prepare and verify mechanical installation/integration drawings/specifications
Conduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers
Attend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports
Support manufacturing, testing and validation phases
Review design documentation with customers and suppliers
Prepare structural drawings (carbody shell, bogie frames, mechanical components)
Prepare equipment layout and mechanical routing drawings
Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM)
Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)
Prepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase
Required Skills/ Knowledge Experience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments
Good knowledge of main railw
