To support its continued growth, the group is reinforcing its Global Tax team with a Senior Tax Specialist based in Italy.
/p h3THE ROLE /h3 pThe position reports to the Group Tax Manager based in Dubai and works closely with the Italian management team.
You will act as the reference point for all Italian tax matters, covering direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, Pillar Two, tax accounting and, above all, tax controversy.
You will manage relations with the Italian tax authorities and coordinate external advisors and legal counsel.
Over time, the scope may extend to other European jurisdictions and cross-border projects.
/p h3MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liOversee Italian corporate income tax, withholding tax, CFC and Pillar Two compliance, reviewing returns and filings prepared with local Finance and advisors.
/li liProvide technical guidance on Italian and EU VAT, including complex domestic and cross-border transactions and supply chain structures.
/li liApply group transfer pricing policies locally and coordinate Local File, Master File and CbCR documentation in line with OECD guidelines.
/li liLead tax audits, assessments and litigation from first request to final resolution: define defence strategy, prepare submissions, manage deadlines and represent the company before the authorities.
/li liSupport tax accounting and reporting, including current and deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions and litigation provisions.




/li liAdvise management on reorganizations, MA, due diligence and business initiatives, identifying risks as well as optimization opportunities, credits and incentives.
/li liStrengthen tax governance, internal controls and documentation, turning lessons learned from disputes into preventive measures.
/li liMonitor Italian, EU and international tax developments and translate them into practical actions for the business.
/li /ul h3YOUR PROFILE /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Tax, Law, Economics, Finance or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g. Dottore Commercialista, CPA or equivalent) is a plus.
/li li10+ years of experience in Italian corporate tax, gained in a multinational group and/or a top-tier tax advisory or law firm.
/li liProven hands?on experience managing Italian tax audits and litigation (CIT, VAT and/or transfer pricing).
/li liAbility to lead technical discussions with tax authorities, senior management and external counsel with confidence and credibility.
/li liComfortable working in a matrix organization and collaborating with international, remote stakeholders.
/li liSound judgement, strong analytical skills and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
/li liFluency in Italian and English.
/li liBackground in chemicals and plastics or a successful cross??
