h3Position: Lead Umbilical Engineer /h3h3Location: Fano, Italy for the Engineering Phase , then it will move to Baku, Azerbaijan /h3h3Duration: 12 month Renewable Contract /h3h3Start Date: ASAP /h3pNES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Lead Umbilical Engineer for a major offshore Oil Gas development.
The position will provide specialist technical leadership across subsea umbilical and fibre optic cable activities, covering the lifecycle from detailed engineering and design through fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning.
/ph3Key Responsibilities: /h3ulliProvide technical leadership for subsea umbilical and FOC engineering activities.
/liliReview contractor and vendor engineering documentation and technical queries.
/liliEnsure relevant project requirements, international codes and standards are incorporated into engineering and execution.
/liliOversee fabrication, testing and qualification activities.
/liliSupport FAT, SAT and PQT activities.
/liliCoordinate technical interfaces across SURF, SPS, Telecom and other project packages.
/liliSupport preparation for offshore installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
/liliEnsure QA/QC and HSE requirements are effectively implemented.
/liliProvide technical input to interface and risk management activities.
/li /ulh3What We're Looking For: /h3ulli15+ years' experience within Oil Gas projects.




/liliProven specialist knowledge of deep and shallow water subsea umbilical engineering.
/liliStrong umbilical installation experience.
/liliFOC installation knowledge, including nearshore and landfall activities.
/liliExperience within large-scale, technically complex Oil Gas projects.
/liliStrong knowledge of applicable industry regulations, codes and standards.
/liliExpertise in QA/QC, NDT and metallurgy.
/liliCollaborative, pragmatic and project-focused approach.
/liliStrong English capability.
