Overview As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you will install, maintain, and repair Illumina instrument systems in field settings across Italy. You’ll troubleshoot on-site, coordinate service requests with cross-functional teams, and assist with new installations and validations. You’ll manage service parts and support opportunities with sales and marketing, while building strong customer relationships. This role offers hands-on learning in a customer-facing environment and contributes to meaningful health and genomics work.

Responsabilità

Install, maintain, repair and upgrade Illumina instrument systems Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site customer support Coordinate service requests and drive timely resolutions Support new instrument installations,



including facility inspections and validation Maintain service-parts inventory for effective interventions Collaborate with sales/marketing on placements, upgrades and contract renewals Build relationships with customers and internal partners Participate in departmental projects to expand technical knowledge

Requisiti fondamentali

Engineering background or related technical field Interest in hands-on troubleshooting with complex instrumentation Exposure to optics and lasers (welcomed) Familiarity with Linux, networked IT advantageous Strong communication and customer-facing skills Organizational and problem-solving abilities Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn Residence in Italy with a valid Italian driving license and up to 80% travel Fluent Italian and English Preference for candidates in Campania or Puglia strong communication customer-facing skills collaborative mindset optics and lasers Linux networked IT
