Role Description

Pharmatec is looking for a Project Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to support engineering activities and project execution at a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing site.

The position involves a 12-month project assignment, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, equipment suppliers and site stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

- Support the planning, coordination and execution of engineering projects within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate technical activities with engineering contractors, equipment suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Review engineering documentation, including P&IDs;, equipment specifications, layouts and technical deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, technical milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project schedules and quality requirements.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning and qualification (C&Q;)



activities.
- Facilitate technical coordination between engineering, production, maintenance and quality departments.
- Contribute to technical issue resolution, change control activities and project documentation management.

Requirements

- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in engineering or project execution roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Good understanding of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation, equipment installation and commissioning activities.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluency in Italian and good command of English.

Nice to have

- Experience with pharmaceutical process equipment, utilities or manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with qualification documentation (IQ/OQ) and change control procedures.
- Previous involvement in engineering projects at operational pharmaceutical manufacturing sites.
