The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator to join a team of 4-5 engineers supporting the network infrastructure of an international organisation on a long-term project. The role is based in Rome, Italy, so candidates must live in or near Rome, or be willing to relocate.
You will keep a complex, multi-tenant network running smoothly and securely, from day-to-day operations to onboarding new services, always with a security-first approach.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and support Cisco infrastructure (Nexus and Catalyst switches, routers)
- Administer firewalls, including Cisco Firepower and F5 BIG-IP AFM
- Configure and manage F5 load balancers
- Administer Cisco Meraki solutions (switching, wireless and security)




- Set up and maintain site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnels
- Monitor WAN usage and performance, and troubleshoot network issues
- Provide first and second-level support, coordinating with vendors when needed
- Review logs and alerts, and take corrective action
- Keep technical documentation and configuration templates up to date
- Take part in the on-call/standby rota
- Contribute to network security projects: review vulnerability and risk reports, and implement controls
- Work with IT, business and cybersecurity teams to turn requirements into secure technical solutions
- Automate recurring tasks with scripting and automation tools

What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or Network Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki
- Proven experience with F5 load balancers
- Strong experience with Cisco Fire
