Position summary:The Workshop Technician is responsible for the correct repair of customers and Stryker equipment. He/she will also utilize a wide array of knowledge, technical skills and problem-solving abilities to facilitate the fast turnaround of both the quality checking of loan equipment and the repair of items that have failed in the customer environment. He or she is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining the overall status of Stryker equipment.Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)Disassemble and reassemble medical devices, replace componentsTest and calibrate medical devices, sub-assemblies and instruments in accordance with approved practices and proceduresEnsure that all repairs are evaluated and completed in a timely manner as defined by the Team lead or SupervisorAssist with booking in, quoting and repair of customer equipmentUnpacking, cleaning and packing medical devicesShip domestic and international equipmentPreparing and verifying shipping documents and ensuring devices are stored in the correct location and in good conditionMaintain technical competency through regular and frequent attendance at appropriate courses of further vocational study and continuing professional developmentEnsure that the department’s performance of services is compliant with the applicable quality system and regulationsEnsure efficient maintenance of the spare parts stock and will participate in the realization of the required annual inventoriesEducation & special trainings:Fluent in English language is requiredBachelor/Master’s degree in engineering OR Maintenance and Technical Assistance school is preferable with experience in at least one of the following:Electrical / Mechanical EngineeringMedical PhysicsService and maintenance of medical equipmentQualifications & experience:Experience with ERP systems, Excel, and WordSolid troubleshooting and repair fundamentalsDemonstrated attention to detailDemonstrated success in teamwork and cross-functional process developmentEffective communication skillsPhysical & mental requirements:Exerting up to 25 kilos of force occasionally and/or up to 10 kilos of force constantly to move objectsAbility to think independently, use sound judgment, prioritize, make quick decisions and problem-solvingAbility to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team on assignmentsAbility to work independently in a team environmentMay involve exposure to chemicals, solvents, and cleaning detergentsMay require to wear personal protective equipmentItaly Pay Ranges:Italy: €32.300 - €53.900 EUR AnnualAt Stryker, we believe transparency helps candidates make confident decisions about their next career step.
