Freelance Business Analyst, fully remote

6-month assignment, renewable once (6+6)

Context

A European player in digital trust services is running a large-scale consolidation programme, including a migration workstream. It is looking for a freelance Business Analyst to support the programme, from requirements discovery through to user acceptance testing. The role carries end-to-end responsibility, working with architects, business teams and integrators.

Your role

You turn business needs into clear, actionable specifications. You work day to day with product owners, solution architects and technical teams, alongside stakeholders of different nationalities.

Your responsibilities

- Elicit and challenge business requirements through workshops and interviews.
- Write BRDs, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Map current (as-is) and target (to-be) processes.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Work closely with product owners, solution architects and technical teams.

Environment and tools

- JIRA and Confluence, or equivalent.
- Agile methodology.
- APIs, systems integration, solution design, data modelling fundamentals.




- UML and wireframing are a plus.

Your profile

- 4 to 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a delivery environment.
- Proven experience gathering requirements with business stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile teams alongside product, technical and architecture teams.
- Very good English, spoken and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a multinational or a similarly sized organisation is an asset.
- Nice to have: Italian, UML, wireframing, BA certification (BCS, CBAP or equivalent).
