Leica Biosystems seeks a Field Service Engineer for the Rome/Lazio region to provide technical support and maintenance on advanced staining diagnostic equipment. The role involves installation, repairs, customer communication, and service documentation while ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA standards.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, modify, and repair advanced staining diagnostic instruments in customer facilities
Communicate with internal teams and external customers within established timeframes
Document service activities and ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, and company policies
Apply technical service bulletins and equipment updates in the field
Support service contract sales and assist with system configurations to drive revenue




Requirements
Technical high school diploma in mechanics, electrical, or electronics
At least 3 years field service experience in biomedical/diagnostic laboratory equipment
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Advanced IT skills for computer-based laboratory equipment
Understanding of compliance and integrity requirements
Willingness to travel extensively (80% travel including international training)
Compensation:
€41,333–€48,667 gross annual base salary, plus 5% premio/incentive pay
