- High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience / Qualifications

- 2-4 years of healthcare experience in the outpatient setting.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
- Knowledge of outpatient procedures and medical terminology required.
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills,



and computer skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, time management skills and follow appropriate procedures when setting priorities and handling stressful situations.
- Knowledge of Healthcare Scheduling Software preferred.

Position Summary
The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for the accurate scheduling of all oncology related surgical procedures and pre-admission testing appointments, in coordination with all other resource providers (i.e. Anesthesia); according to provider preferences, and patient condition.

- The surgery scheduling coordinator position includes the ability to brainstorm with members of the JMCPG team, the OR team and related physicians to accommodate all departmental customers.
