Observability Engineer / System AdministratorDXC Technology Italy is looking for an Observability Engineer / System Administrator to join the C&I offering.LocationRome, Italy – smart working possibility.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain complex monitoring and observability platforms for infrastructure, applications, and services.Integrate monitoring solutions with heterogeneous environments, including on-premise systems and public cloud platforms.Manage and evolve existing monitoring systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.Define monitoring standards, alerting strategies, dashboards, and reporting to support proactive incident detection and resolution.Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure comprehensive system visibility.Contribute to incident investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.Act as a technical reference and mentor for junior colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.RequirementsStrong hands‑on experience with open-source monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix,



Grafana.Familiarity with observability concepts and tools, including OpenTelemetry and Prometheus (considered a plus).Experience with commercial monitoring platforms such as Nagios XI and AWS CloudWatch.Additional experience with Dynatrace and/or Azure Monitor is highly appreciated.Solid experience administering Linux‑based systems in complex, distributed environments.Proven ability to integrate monitoring platforms with existing infrastructure and operational processes.Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and system performance concepts.Practical experience monitoring workloads deployed on public cloud platforms, particularly AWS.Exposure to hybrid environments combining on-premise and cloud infrastructures.Compensation and BenefitsGross annual base salary starting from €36,000, determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement.Benefits include health insurance, life and permanent disability coverage, meal vouchers, supplemental pension plan, lavoro da remoto agreement, employee discounts, and continuous learning opportunities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
