journal entriesPrepare financial reports, manage the month-end closing process and perform monthly reconciliationsManage monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities following Local and US GAAPEnsure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactionsManage cash activities and reporting, including payment preparationManage interactions with Tax Authorities for audit and special requestsMaintain and review financial records, including Fixed Assets LedgerEnsure compliance with local accounting legislation, tax laws, standards and reporting timelinessManage intercompany and bank reconciliationsManage the preparation of VAT returns, working in liaison with local tax and legal consultants to ensure the correct calculation of monthly VAT and taxable income; prepare VAT reports, the Journal Book, F24 forms and other government-related filingsInteract directly with auditors to discuss and resolve accounting issues in a timely mannerMaintain strong knowledge of accounting and finance practicesAnalyse new transactions and documenting appropriate accounting treatment under Local GAAP and US GAAP and ensuring that it is appliedWhat we are looking for:Extensive experience in a similar role within Italian and international entitiesDegree in Accounting, Finance or EconomicsA strong understanding of administrative and accounting processes,Extensive experience in general or tax accountingFamiliarity with US GAAPProven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulationsFluent in EnglishHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAdvanced knowledge of Excel and SAPAbility to work in cross collaboration with both internal and external teams#LI-EMEA#LI-AVNETAvnet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
