Job Description

UL Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager, UK and Europe, Data & Innovation to support the definition, scoping, and growth of digital, data, and technology-enabled offerings, including Global Compliance Management (GCM).

This role sits between the customer and the offering. The person gathers customer requirements, documents how compliance and market access problems show up in practice, and works with Product, Technical, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams to define what the offering needs to do, how it is packaged, and how it is explained. The role supports customer conversations as the product expert rather than as the account owner.

This is a non-commissioned product role. It does not carry a sales quota or account ownership. Success is measured by the quality of requirements captured, the clarity and usability of the offering, and the adoption of the solutions the role supports.

Responsibilities

Customer Requirements and Offering Definition

• Gather and document customer requirements, use cases, and unmet needs,



and translate them into clear input for product and offering decisions.
• Analyze customer, service, and market data to identify gaps in the current offering portfolio and recommend where to extend, package, or retire capability.
• Support pricing, packaging, and positioning decisions for new and evolving digital solutions, working with Product, Finance, and Marketing.

Solution Scoping and Product Enablement

• Act as the product point of contact for sales, account, and global account teams on scope, capability, limitations, and fit.
• Support solution scoping for customer opportunities, including requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and handoffs to delivery.
• Build product collateral, demo content, discovery guides, and use cases so the offering is explained consistently and can be repeated at scale.
