Reporting to the Record to Report Manager, the General Accounting Corporate & Industrial Activities Staff supports the accurate and timely execution of general accounting activities for the Corporate & Industrial perimeter. The role contributes to the integrity of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, internal procedures, and corporate deadlines while supporting period-end closing activities.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
• Perform general accounting activities and ensure the accurate recording of transactions in the general ledger.
• Prepare and manage accruals and deferrals.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of related accounting records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies when required.
• Prepare and post closing, adjustment, and account reconciliation entries.
Requirements
• Accounting Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within a structured context.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Intermediate command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and good knowledge of IT systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the preparation of statutory financial statements is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP and AS400 ERP systems is considered a plus.
