MBDA Italia is the Italian company that is part of the multinational MBDA group, a world leader in the missile systems sector. MBDA represents the first European group with production and design capabilities capable of covering the entire range corresponding to the current and future needs of the armed forces (land, air and sea). Within the "Quality Assurance Italy" Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for a "SW Quality Assurance Engineer". **Required Qualifications**: * Degree in scientific subjects * Minimum grade: 90 **Professional Experience** (*indicate the type of experience required and the minimum and maximum years of experience*): * 1 year of professional experience in Quality is required (experience gained in SW Quality is a preferential title) **Activities foreseen for the role**: The chosen resource will deal with the following activities: * Interface, as SW Quality representative, with the Software Engineering department (including any subcontractors), the Program and Governmental Control Bodies (directly or in collaboration with BL Italy Quality) where required and/or necessary. * Production of the SW Quality Plan and support for the issuance and updating of SW development management plans. * Support for the review of specifications and input documents for SW development. * Participate in formal reviews of SW CSCIs, internal or contractual as established in the SDP / SQAP plans. * Drafting of the output documentation for these reviews (meeting minutes and contribution to the compiled checklist). * Verification of SW definition documentation, in particular: verification of documentation issued as output of MBSE models, verification of documentation present in the Cepros area and archived with the RTC tool, contribution to the definition of CSCI product trees. * Production of Quality Records (Minutes,



checklists, QAAR/RID, …) as evidence of Software Quality Assurance activities on software projects, and archiving of records in centralized IT archives (DRM, RTC). * Provide support for the management of non-conformities impacting the SW: verification and approval of change requests and defects, verification of correct registration in the tools dedicated to configuration management and participation in SW Configuration Control Boards. Support for the management of any derogations (also in SAP QM) is included in this area of intervention. * Provide support for participation in the Dry-Run phase and formal tests on released SW products. During these activities, the correct execution of tests and results recordings, the correct management of NCs detected during tests, and the correctness of the data reported in the various VDD/SVD/Release Notes of CSCI must be ensured. * Support SW projects for the definition and for monitoring/recording of activities required for SW safety critical. * Verification of the SW release process (Installation Kit or eventual creation and delivery of Installation CDs/Data Integrity Check). * Participation in technical advancement meetings for SW projects and, when foreseen, in periodic program advancement meetings. * Contribution to the certification of the conformity of SW deliveries. * Verification of Subcontractor development activities and participation in the acceptance of the subcontracted product. Preparation of reports, metrics,



trends to be produced periodically to monitor the quality of SW projects under one's responsibility. * Participate and possibly conduct national or international Working Groups (possibly with the participation of SE representatives) for the definition of Procedures/Guidelines applicable to SW development. Within the transversal process activities, the Quality Assurance Technical resource will also deal with: Supporting audits and assessments concerning the SW Engineering department (as part of the audit/assessment plan of the SW engineering department) Contributing to capturing lessons learned and proposing a plan for improving SW Engineering processes Organizing and, if necessary, providing quality training sessions to improve the quality of released SW and BMS awareness. Participate in improvement initiatives launched by the Quality Assurance Technical function. **Professional Skills**: * Knowledge of the main military standards for SW development and documentation (MIL-STD-498, 2167A, ..) Knowledge of the DO178C standard for the development and testing of SW safety critical. Knowledge of quality and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Lean 6 sigma, 8D, ..) is a preferential title. Knowledge of Configuration Management and Non-Conformance Management processes. Knowledge of quality standards (EN9100/ISO9001). Good ability to use the office suite for drafting metrics and indicators. Excellent knowledge of Excel is a preferential title. **Language Skills**: * Good knowledge of written and spoken English, such as to allow the verification and drafting of project documentation, as well as participation in international events, net-meetings, teleconferences and e-mailing. **Organizational/Soft Skills**: * Strong interpersonal skills, Team Building and structured conflict management. * Ability to operate efficiently and effectively in an international environment.
