**MBDA Italia is the Italian company that is part of the multinational MBDA group, a world leader in the missile systems sector** **MBDA represents the first Group in Europe with production and design capabilities able to cover the entire range corresponding to the current and future needs of the armed forces (land, air and sea).** Within the "**OPERATIONS**" Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for a "**HW Equipment Engineer**". **Required Qualification**: * DEGREE IN ELECTRONIC, COMPUTER SCIENCE, TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING or equivalent **Professional Experience** (_indicate the type of experience required and the minimum and maximum years of experience_) * Previous experience preferably in the defense or aerospace sector * Team working experiences, also in multinational contexts * at least 10 years **Activities foreseen for the role**: The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities: * Within the Ground and Naval Equipment unit of ES&TS;, the resource will be responsible for the design, realization, integration and testing of electronic equipment and the development of the relevant documentation. The main responsibilities/activities, in particular, will be the following:



* internal/external customer interface management * budgeting and initial planning * design and realization of prototypes * definition of the project specification and sub-assembly requirements * design and development of electrical and optical interconnections between equipment * development of the final product and drafting of the Technical Data Package * ergonomics and project design oriented to product maintenance * monitoring of activity progress to maintain agreed times and costs * environmental qualifications and technical file for CE marking in coordination with the Environmental EMC Tests&Studies; department * definition of make or buy and eventual management of subcontractors * configuration management and maintenance * coordination with activities and resources of mechanical design, electronic design (digital and high power) and basic software * coordination with the HW product line managers of the department * Support for monitoring the obsolescence of the products used * Troubleshooting, anomaly analysis and variant management **Professional Skills**: * Knowledge of: * S.O. Windows and Linux, the Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Microsoft Project; * CISC/RISC computer architectures and serial buses * Networking and main network protocols * Basic concepts of cyber security (client/Server OPAL compliant architecture) * Familiarity with Tektronics/Agilent oscilloscopes, analog and digital acquisitions, signal integrity, BER and SNR checks; * Link budget checks for FO SM/MM channels, OTDR measurements; * Design of HW assemblies, interconnections and related documentation; * Ability to integrate HW assemblies and perform troubleshooting; * Ability to produce and manage planning and risk analysis. **Language Skills**: * **English** **Organizational Skills/Soft skills**: * Ability to work in a team * Excellent communication skills * Ability to manage conflicts * Ability to manage priorities * Proactivity * Resilience
