**MBDA Italia is the Italian company that is part of the multinational MBDA group, a world leader in the missile systems sector.** **MBDA represents the leading European Group with production and design capabilities able to cover the entire range corresponding to the current and future needs of the armed forces (land, air and sea).** The Engineering department is looking for an "Integration to Platform System Engineer". The chosen resource will operate within the *Weapon System Design* function and will be involved in Integration to Air Platform activities. The *System Engineering* activities that will involve the resource in the design and development phase of the Weapon System will be: * Capture of the main Customer needs and operational use concepts * Functional analysis, definition of the functional architecture of the Weapon System * Assignment of functions to the physical architecture of the Weapon System * Definition of functional requirements at Weapon System level * Definition of interface requirements between functions and between Weapon System components * Definition and management of physical and functional interfaces for the integration of Weapon System components from an aerial platform * Definition of the algorithmic chains of a Weapon System * Definition of strategies, verification and validation plans and definition of verification and validation documentation at Weapon System level * Definition and development of descriptive (MBSE) and mathematical models to support system design * Flowdown of platform requirements to the launch system, missile and its equipment * Application of Integration to Platforms policies and best practices,



lessons learned, modular Design and reuse policies **Workplace:** Turin **Professional requirements and technical skills:** * Degree in Computer Engineering / Telecommunications / Automation / Electronics / Software / Aerospace / Mechanical * Professional and work experience of 2 years or less * Knowledge of basic design techniques for defining a complex architecture (identification of system functions and allocation to subsystems, modeling of operating states and modes, definition of electrical and functional interfaces, sizing of equipment, definition of system and subsystem requirements) * Knowledge of international standards: MIL-STD-8591, MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-1553 * Knowledge of standard communication protocols in an avionic environment: RS422, RS485, Ethernet * Knowledge of functional Verification and Validation methods and techniques. * Knowledge of System Engineering methods and processes and related standards (e.g. MIL-STD-498) * Knowledge of MBDA PLC1 * Good knowledge of written and spoken English **Preferential title:** * Knowledge of practices related to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and SysML/UML metalanguages for modeling functional architectures * Knowledge of the DOORS requirements management tool * Knowledge of simulation and modeling tools such as Rhapsody and/or Cameo * Knowledge of techniques, tools for performing analysis in a MATLAB/SIMULINK environment **Organizational/soft skills**: * Team spirit and aptitude for working even in international teams * Initiative and autonomy in managing assigned activities * Results orientation and problem solving * Effective verbal/written communication * Analysis and synthesis skills * Flexibility at work and resilience * Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad * Leadership
