Within the Engineering Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for a Safety & Reliability Engineer. **Required Qualification**: * Five-year degree in technical/scientific disciplines, preferably in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. * University CV exams and/or postgraduate courses related to product reliability and safety aspects are a preferential title. **Professional experience** * Experience in the design of complex electronic equipment or in the safety of avionics and/or terrestrial systems (railway, transport, ...) with particular reference to the analysis and definition of safety requirements. * Years of experience required: preferably 1 to 4 years in a similar role **Activities foreseen for the role**: The selected resource will be responsible for the following activities: * Execution of plans and studies relating to Safety Analysis, Hazard Assessment, Product Safety Checks, such as Failure Modes & Effect and Critical Analysis, System Safety Assessment, Fault Tree Analysis, Safety Integrity Level assignment and allocation, Hazardous Material management,



Pollution prevention programs * Definition of the Product Safety Architecture and allocation of Safety requirements to subsystems * Identification of mathematical models and development of synergies with RAM activities * Conducting risk analyzes in the product life cycle phases from design to disposal * Management & verification of the Validation/Qualification process of product safety aspects * Inspections and audits for Safety aspects at Partners, cooperators or subcontractors **Professional skills**: In-depth knowledge of the following disciplines: * Electronics (electronic devices, digital and power electronics) * Electrical engineering (low and medium voltage electrical distribution) * Electronic computers (architecture of complex electronic equipment) Knowledge is a preferential title: * of the main EU regulations on product safety (Directives, Regulations) * of national legislation on workplace safety (Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments) * of the main safety standards (EN-61508 or equivalent, MIL-STD-822E, EN-61010, EN-60950, SAE ARP-4754, SAE ARP-4761, DO-254, DO-178) * of Safety Critical architectures and applications (HW+SW) Basic knowledge of the main tools supporting Safety and Reliability analyzes (Isograph, ...). **Language skills**: * Good knowledge of written and spoken English * Basic knowledge of French is also a preferential title **Organizational skills/Soft skills**: * Communication * Negotiation * Conflict management * Motivation * Team building
