Offer Description

The research program explores the evolution of design in Industrial and Integrated Product Design, linked to the digital transition and artificial intelligence (AI), to understand how "doing design" and workplaces are changing, from professional studios to R&D; centers. Objectives: to tackle innovation challenges in declining or reconverting industrial sectors and to explore new application fields. It analyzes emerging needs, process transformation (from co-design to prototyping), and frontier technologies such as collaborative robotics, AI for IoT devices, and generative design. The work plan includes: literature analysis and mapping of emerging players; field research and case studies on locations, organizational systems,



and roles; creation of a reference framework and a new design journey. Configuration of an innovative setting within Polifactory to test new processes and services; production of scientific papers and proposals for competitive calls for tenders.

Oral test aimed at ascertaining candidates’ aptitude and suitability to carry out the research activity covered by the Fellowship, as well as at assessing their knowledge of English and/or other languages relevant to the research activities to be performed (up to 50 points)
