Offer Description
The project concerns the incremental development of FlowAI, a software tool for hemodynamic simulation of the aorta that combines artificial intelligence and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Starting from CT images, U-Net neural networks automatically reconstruct the geometry of the vessel,
the thrombus and the surrounding anatomical region, producing simulation-ready models. The hemodynamic CFD environment will be extended to different aortic vascular segments and complemented by a new module for simulating stent deployment within the aortic lumen, supporting the planning of endovascular procedures. A cross-platform graphical interface will guide the entire workflow, from segmentation to results analysis, making the tool accessible to non-specialist users. The goal is an integrated platform that reduces the time and expertise needed to obtain patient-specific hemodynamic analyses.
