Within the "**Engineering/Missile Design Italia**" Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for an "**Aerodynamic Engineer**".

- *Specialist Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent (preferably specialization in flight technologies/aerodynamics), or an equivalent combination of study and work experience sufficient to meet the essential functions of the position
- Professional Experience**
- RANS CFD analysis in subsonic/supersonic/hypersonic regimes (preferential tools Ansys, DLR TAU)
- Preliminary design of aerodynamic configurations of low-aspect-ratio wings in subsonic/supersonic regimes
- Design and analysis of subsonic or supersonic air intakes
- Definition of specifications and conduct of related wind tunnel tests
- Definition of mathematical models representing the aerodynamic behavior of the missile
- Experience,



knowledge of electromechanical actuation systems for aerodynamic control surfaces
- *Optimization of missile aerodynamic configurations using semi-empirical or RANS CFD tools
- Definition of aerodynamic models and trim analysis
- Creation of CFD mesh (preferential tool ANSA)
- Critical analysis of CFD results (preferential tool Ansys Fluent)
- Technical analysis of control surface actuation/movement systems (e.g., Drafting technical specifications for actuation systems

**Professional Skills**:

- Technical knowledge related to numerical fluid dynamic analyses (definition of CAD models, definition of calculation grids, and critical analysis of CFD results)
- Technical knowledge related to subsonic/supersonic aerodynamics, including the design and analysis of air intakes
- Knowledge of optimization tools (such as modeFrontier)
- Knowledge related to wind tunnel testing techniques and relevant sensors
- Knowledge and application of post-analysis tools (such as Matlab, Simulink)
- Knowledge of aeronautical actuation and lifting surface movement systems

**Language Skills**:

- Good knowledge of spoken and written English
