Offer Description The project develops an artificial intelligence system that transforms decision narratives into explicit, verifiable causal models, identifying actions, mechanisms, expected outcomes, evidence, and hypotheses to test. Based on language models and validated against an expert-annotated benchmark, the system will enable comparisons between politicians’ and experts’ narratives,



assess their persuasive effects, and analyse their diffusion. It will also support entrepreneurial decision-making, helping startups articulate and test business hypotheses. The postdoctoral researcher will develop and evaluate the extraction pipeline, build an interface or API prototype, and conduct analyses and user studies, contributing to publications and technology transfer. Candidates should have strong technical skills and an interest in language models, text analysis, and social sciences. Part of the work will take place at AISS, Bocconi University.
