The successful candidate will play a key role in the formulation, characterization, and optimization of electrolyte solutions, supporting both fundamental research and product development activities.This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, and energy storage, contributing directly to the advancement of innovative long-duration energy storage systems.
The Analytical Chemist will collaborate closely with scientists and engineers across multiple disciplines, generating critical insights into electrolyte behavior, stability, performance, and degradation mechanisms.ResponsibilitiesDesign, prepare, and optimize electrolyte formulations for redox flow battery applicationsPerform chemical and physicochemical characterization of electrolyte solutions using analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentationInvestigate electrolyte stability, degradation pathways, and performance under various operating conditionsDevelop, validate and execute experimental protocols to evaluate electrolyte properties, including composition, viscosity, conductivity, density,



and chemical speciationAnalyze experimental data and generate technical reports to support R&D; decision-makingCollaborate with electrochemists and engineers to correlate electrolyte properties with battery performance and system operationSupport scale-up activities by evaluating electrolyte behavior from laboratory to pilot-scale systemsContribute to the development and validation of analytical methods for quality control and material characterizationMaintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety procedures and best laboratory practicesStay informed on scientific literature, emerging technologies, and industry developments related to electrolyte chemistry and energy storage systemsQualificationsMSc or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related fieldStrong knowledge xrtlpzc of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory techniquesExperience with analytical instrumentation such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, HPLC, ICP-OES/MS, GC-MS, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, titration methods, or related techniquesHands-on experience in solution chemistry, electrolyte development, chemometrics or electrochemical systems is highly desirableStrong experimental skills, with the ability to design, execute, and interpret laboratory investigations independentlyExcellent data analysis and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary R&D; environmentProactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to explore novel approaches to complex technical challengesExcellent written and spoken English
