In Babelscape cerchiamo un/una Technical Project Manager junior da inserire in modalità ibrida nel team di Roma.

Siamo una PMI innovativa deep tech di intelligenza artificiale nata nel 2016 come spin-off della Sapienza, fondata da Roberto Navigli , Professore Ordinario, vincitore di due prestigiosi grant ERC e Fellow di AAAI, ACL, ELLIS ed EurAI.

In dieci anni abbiamo costruito tecnologie di Natural Language Processing multilingue, semantica e knowledge graph (a partire da BabelNet ) e oggi, in sinergia con Sapienza, sviluppiamo Minerva , la famiglia di LLM italiani preaddestrati, insieme ad assistenti conversazionali, sistemi RAG e agenti in produzione per pubbliche amministrazioni, istituzioni culturali e grandi aziende.

Babelscape si colloca alla frontiera della ricerca e dell’innovazione, svolgendo un’intensa attività di ricerca e sviluppo sia nell’ambito di iniziative progettuali interne ad alto contenuto innovativo, sia attraverso la partecipazione a progetti di ricerca europei.

Il ruolo

Coordinerai la delivery di progetti di AI dall'avvio al rilascio, facendo da ponte tra i clienti e il team tecnico. Ti chiediamo di capire bene l'architettura e il lavoro degli sviluppatori, così da poter pianificare, stimare, riconoscere i rischi in anticipo e spiegare le scelte tecniche ai clienti.

È un ruolo pensato per crescere: all'inizio lavorerai con l'affiancamento di PM con esperienza pluriennale e del CTO, prendendo in carico i progetti con sempre più autonomia.

Cosa farai

- Pianificare i progetti: attività, stime, Gantt, milestone e allocazione del team.
- Seguire l'avanzamento con il team tecnico, sbloccare i problemi e tenere sotto controllo tempi e perimetro.
- Essere il riferimento operativo per clienti e partner: riunioni di avanzamento, verbali, richieste di modifica, rilasci e collaudi.
- Raccogliere e scrivere i requisiti insieme agli ingegneri e verificare che il rilascio li soddisfi.
- Contribuire a offerte tecniche e stime per nuovi progetti.
- Nei progetti europei: seguire deliverable, scadenze e rendicontazione con i partner internazionali.

Requisiti

- Laurea triennale o magistrale in Ingegneria informatica, Informatica, Ingegneria gestionale con base informatica, o aree affini.
- Basi tecniche solide: sai leggere e comprendere codice (preferibilmente Python), capisci API, database, architetture web e cloud.
- Entusiasmo per l'AI e gli LLM.
- Ottima capacità di organizzazione, scrittura e comunicazione.
- Italiano e inglese fluenti, scritti e parlati.
- Autonomia, precisione, proattività e capacità di gestire più attività in parallelo.

Costituiscono un plus

- Esperienza, anche breve, come PM,



analista o sviluppatore in progetti software.
- Conoscenza di metodologie Agile o Scrum e di strumenti come Jira, Notion, GitLab o GitHub.
- Esperienza con progetti per la pubblica amministrazione o con progetti europei (Horizon Europe).
- Familiarità con RAG, chatbot o valutazione di sistemi basati su LLM.
- Certificazioni di project management (ad es. PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, PMP).

Babelscape is hiring a Technical Project Manager (junior)

Babelscape is looking for a junior Technical Project Manager to join its team in Rome, in a hybrid setting.

We are an innovative deep-tech AI SME, founded in 2016 as a spin-off of Sapienza University of Rome by Roberto Navigli , Full Professor, recipient of two prestigious ERC grants and Fellow of AAAI, ACL, ELLIS and EurAI.

Over ten years we have built multilingual Natural Language Processing, semantics and knowledge graph technologies (starting with BabelNet ), and today, in synergy with Sapienza, we develop Minerva , the family of pretrained Italian LLMs, together with conversational assistants, RAG systems and agents in production for public administrations, cultural institutions and large companies.

Babelscape operates at the frontier of research and innovation, carrying out intensive research and development both through highly innovative internal projects and through participation in European research projects.

The role

You will coordinate the delivery of AI projects from kick-off to release,



acting as the bridge between customers and the technical team. You will need a good understanding of the architecture and of the developers' work, so that you can plan, estimate, spot risks early and explain technical choices to customers.

The role is designed for growth: you will start alongside PMs with several years of experience and the CTO, and take on projects with increasing autonomy.

What you will do

- Plan projects: activities, estimates, Gantt charts, milestones and team allocation.
- Track progress with the technical team, remove blockers and keep schedule and scope under control.
- Be the day-to-day contact for customers and partners: progress meetings, minutes, change requests, releases and acceptance tests.
- Gather and write requirements with the engineers and check that releases meet them.
- Contribute to technical proposals and estimates for new projects.
- In European projects: follow deliverables, deadlines and reporting with international partners.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Engineering with a computing background, or a related field.
- Solid technical foundations: you can read code (preferably Python) and understand APIs, databases, web and cloud architectures.
- Enthusiasm for AI and LLMs.
- Excellent organisation, writing and communication skills.
- Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken.
- Autonomy, accuracy, proactivity and the ability to handle several activities in parallel.

Nice to have

- Some experience, even short, as a PM, analyst or developer on software projects.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum and tools such as Jira, Notion, GitLab or GitHub.
- Experience with public-sector projects or European projects (Horizon Europe).
- Familiarity with RAG, chatbots or the evaluation of LLM-based systems.
- Project management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, PMP).
