Pillar

Milano

About Pillar Construction is one of the biggest industries in the world, and one of the last still running on paper, spreadsheets, and phone calls. We’re here to change that. Pillar is building the financial operating system for construction, helping construction business owners understand what’s happening across their job sites and manage their business in real time. And we’re moving fast:
• Founded on February 13, 2025, we’ve grown to 40 people in less than a year.
• €12M raised just 12 months after incorporation.
• Backed by top-tier investors including Base10 (Silicon Valley), Earlybird (Germany), and Italian Founders Fund.
• 500+ customers already using our platform. We’ve barely started? ?️ Why now University teaches you management, finance, and marketing. But it rarely teaches you how to sell. That’s where we come in:
• Learn by doing, from day one. No sales experience needed. You’ll learn how to prospect, run conversations, qualify opportunities, and understand what makes a business grow.
• Build real skills, fast. You’ll rotate across Outbound and Inbound Sales, learning different parts of the sales process and discovering where you can make the biggest impact.
• Own your growth. This isn’t a program where you sit back and watch. You’ll have clear targets, hands-on coaching, and increasing responsibility as you progress.
• See how a startup is built from the inside. Understand B2B SaaS, how technology can transform an industry, and how a go-to-market engine actually works.
• A clear path forward. After 12 months, you’ll have the opportunity to move into a permanent role as a Team Lead or Junior Account Executive, depending on your strengths and performance.

What you'll do
Your mission is simple: learn to sell and build the foundations of your career. You’ll follow a structured 12-month journey, starting with the toughest part of sales and building your way up. Months 1–6 ? Outbound Sales You’ll start with the fundamentals: reaching out to people who don’t know us yet.
• Prospect and contact potential customers through cold calls, emails, and social channels.
• Learn how to start conversations, handle objections, and turn a “no” into an opportunity to learn.
• Understand the construction market and identify businesses that could agevolazioni from Pillar.
• Qualify prospects and generate real sales opportunities.
• Work toward clear, measurable targets and use data and feedback to improve your performance. This is where you build the foundations of a great salesperson: resilience, curiosity, and the ability to create opportunities from scratch. Months 7–12 ? Inbound Sales Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll move to inbound leads and learn the other side of the sales process.
• Manage incoming leads and qualify their needs, timing,

and potential.
• Run first conversations and identify the right opportunities for our Account Executives.
• Build a solid understanding of our sales funnel and how opportunities move through it.
• Manage follow-ups and keep your pipeline organized.
• Learn how to turn existing interest into qualified opportunities and contribute directly to revenue. By the end of the program, you’ll understand the sales process end to end and have the experience to take the next step in your career. From month 13 ? Your next move Together, we’ll identify the path that best fits your strengths, ambitions, and performance. ? Team Lead Manage and coach 3 new team members while continuing to work on leads for 50% of your time. The right path if you enjoy helping people grow just as much as hitting your own targets. ? Junior Account Executive Take ownership of your own deals and learn how to manage opportunities through to closing. The right path if you’re motivated by negotiation, building customer relationships, and winning business. Both paths come with increased responsibility, a permanent contract, and access to our ESOP stock option plan. Who we're looking for
• You’re a recent graduate, or about to graduate, with a degree in any field. Your background matters less than your mindset and your willingness to learn.
• You want to learn how to sell for real. You’re not looking for a theoretical program: you want to get out there, talk to customers, and see the impact of your work.
• You’re comfortable with numbers. You like understanding what works, reading the data, and figuring out how to improve.
• You’re resilient. You can hear “no” repeatedly without losing your energy, and you see setbacks as opportunities to get better.
• You communicate clearly. You express yourself clearly, listen carefully, and adapt your approach to different people.
• You’re curious about technology and business. You want to understand how companies work, how B2B SaaS creates value, and how sales drives growth.
• You take ownership. You don’t wait for someone to tell you every step. You ask questions, take feedback seriously, and put what you learn into practice. Bonus points if:
• You’ve had any experience involving customers, sales, customer service, call centers, events, or even handing out flyers. Any experience that taught you how to interact with people counts.

• You’re interested in the construction industry or the Italian SME landscape.
• You’ve had international experiences or speak languages beyond Italian. ? We don’t care about the perfect CV. We care about your attitude, your potential, and the impact you can make. How we work at Pillar We all row in the same direction. When one of us speeds up, the whole boat speeds up. We’re ambitious, we’re growing fast, and we keep raising the bar. Everyone here takes ownership, learns by doing, and contributes directly to the company’s growth. You’ll get coaching, feedback, and support, but you’ll also be expected to take initiative, learn from mistakes, and push yourself beyond what feels comfortable. Let’s be honest: Pillar isn’t for you if you want to just execute, need clearly defined boundaries, or are looking for polished processes, a quiet pace, or someone telling you exactly what to do every morning. It’s for you if all of that sounds like an opportunity ?
