As a Field Service Technician, you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements across both the pre-sale and post-sale phases of global projects. /p h3Job Description /h3 pb***Work Location is on-site at a Military Base in Catania, Sicily, Italy*** /b /p pAs the Patch Manager Field Systems Technologist (FST) for Navy ELMR, the world's largest and most complex ASTRO system, you will perform patching operations for the global enterprise. /p pHands-on duties require administering local and remote updates across Windows clients and servers, RHEL servers, McAfee AV, and SQL databases, alongside supporting broader EURAFCENT system and network sustainment activities. You will also submit weekly activity and accomplishment reports to leadership. /p pThis position is based in Catania (Sicily), Italy under Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) status, this is a 100% on-site role with no remote work or telework options. The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liImplement system and security patch updates as provided by the Motorola Solutions ASTRO Security Update Service. /li liDiagnose and troubleshoot patching-related issues in a dynamic, high-stress environment on an Enterprise Land Mobile Radio network.



/li liMaintain extensive verbal and written communication. /li liAssist Master Site FSTs and Engineering teams with normal daily maintenance across master sites, dispatch sites, and RF sites. /li liTravel up to 25% annually to support enterprise system maintenance and regional patching efforts. /li liObtain and maintain an active DoD Secret-level security clearance (requiring completion of the Standard Form 86 questionnaire for national security positions). /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liMust meet Italy SOFA compliance requirements:br/Bachelor's Degree; OR Associate's Degree plus 4 years of specialized experience, OR High School Diploma / GED plus 8 years of specialized experience. /li liExperience in IT systems administration and TCP/IP network administration. /li liMust possess or be capable of obtaining CompTIA Security+ certification (or IAT Level II equivalent) within 6 months of employment. /li liMust possess or be capable of obtaining ETA CETa certification within 6 months of employment. /li liDemonstrated experience in Windows (10/Server), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Active Directory administration. /li liHands-on experience with VMware andKVM-based virtualization suites and server hardware (HP ProLiant, iLO, Dell PowerEdge). /li liProficient TCP/IP networking knowledge (LAN/WAN) and familiarity with system administration tools (PuTTY, WinSCP, Remote Desktop). /li liStrong multi-tasking, organizational, and self-management skills. /li liProficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suites. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liActive CompTIA Network+, MCSE, or CISSP certifications. /li liExperience with McAfee security products, ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), and Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS). /li liHands-on experience with Motorola ASTRO systems, P25/LMR infrastructure, MCC7500 dispatch, Zone Core, or NICE Logging (or willingness to learn). /li liWorking knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) theory, RF trunking site optimization, firewalls,



and CAC/PIV authentication systems. /li liExperience managing Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Direct Attached Storage (DAS) devices. /li /ul h3Target Base Salary Range /h3 pTarget Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 USD /p pConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
