Position requires an energetic, customer service driven candidate with continuous emphasis on bottom line results. Maintain the business flow of the Export department. Ensure all levels of compliance are met on the export process. Supervise the staff to make sure they are using all the tools available to achieve financial goals of the department. Oversee the usage of vendors. /ph3ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: /h3ulliManage and further develop efficient and effective flow of work to attain optimum efficiency and productivity of department. /liliIdentify the existence and cause of problems and solutions to correct them. /liliUtilize reports to quantify and prioritize workload. /liliManage communication with export related authorities, customers and suppliers in all relevant countries as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities. /liliWork with other departments in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant export activities and support in relation to the organizations operating functions. /liliInitiates, promotes, supports and implements change in order to increase organizational effectiveness. /liliMake sound decisions based on analysis, experience and good judgment.



/liliEnsure staff has the training and resources necessary to perform their jobs. /liliNegotiate with local carriers on spot pricing; issue rate quotes. /liliResponsible for TSA compliance and maintenance for the branch. /liliProvides quotes for internal and external clients. /liliTakes part in outside sales activities with sales or management staff. /liliMaintains current records on all truckers locally ; i.e. insurance certs, current tariff. /liliCoordinate work activities between office staff and 3rd party warehouse. /liliDelivery documents to both 3rd party warehouse and US Customs for Export department. /liliMeet with SSL, ocean carriers, warehouse agents, and Truckers to review service needs. /liliHandle all shipments with compliance needs. /liliMaintain local pricing recorders from all carriers. /liliAudit Export files for compliance and Business process. /liliAudit Export files for profitability. /liliHandle processing of all dangerous goods shipment for Air Export. /liliTake department concerns to upper levels of management as needed. /liliKeep track of service faults by 3rd party warehouse. /liliOther duties as requested /li /ulh3SUPERVISORY

EXPERIENCE:
/h3ulliHigh school diploma or GED. /liliCollege Diploma, a plus. /liliMinimum 7 years relevant Export (Air or Ocean) and freight forwarding experience. /liliMinimum 3 years supervisory experience. /liliKnowledge of procedures for international and domestic freight, trucking and warehouse services. /liliTSA compliant. /liliDangerous Goods awareness. /li /ulh3ENVIRONMENT: /h3p100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
