You strengthen the people and structures that help them succeed: through strong leadership, fair career paths, thoughtful hiring and a strong engineering culture. /p h3What you’ll do /h3 ul liCoach our Engineering Managers as people leaders and squad owners, helping them build healthy, effective teams. /li liLead the Product Engineering chapter for software engineering and QA, with a shared career ladder, clear hiring standards, and fair performance and promotion processes. /li liBuild a shared engineering culture across our locations and support teams through change. /li liMake sure every squad has a clear quality bar and trains its engineers to meet it. The Principal Architect owns architecture and technical standards. /li liEmbed the effective use of AI across the software development lifecycle, from training and career development to measurable impact. You’ll work with the Staff Engineer, squads and Platform team. /li liPlan the development of the engineering organisation and ensure teams have the agreed capacity for maintenance, security and technical debt. /li /ul pbr/Product priorities, squad delivery, architecture, AI standards,



platform and data remain with the relevant product, squad and functional leaders. You’ll work with them as a peer and resolve areas of overlap directly. /p h3What you bring to the team /h3 ul liAt least 10 years of software engineering experience, including work on complex, computation-heavy software. /li liStrong practical knowledge of the modern SDLC, including CI/CD, automated testing, code review, observability and secure development. /li liCurrent, hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic tools, plus experience driving adoption across multiple teams and measuring its impact. /li liAt least five years of engineering leadership experience, including two years leading Engineering Managers across multiple teams. /li liA track record of hiring, developing and retaining managers and senior engineers, and building fair career and performance processes. /li liExperience leading distributed teams and navigating organisational change.br/Fluent English. German, Polish, Italian or Spanish is a plus. /li liExperience with simulation or scientific software, regulated products, modernising established desktop systems or European works councils is welcome.
