Reporting to the Technology Innovation (TI) Management of Leonardo Helicopters, the candidate will support multiple RD projects in the field of electrification and propulsion. In this role the candidate will have the opportunity to deal with innovative solutions at the cutting edge of helicopter industry. More specifically, the candidate will integrate the contributions coming from the different specialists and manage the system configuration through the design review process, up to in flight demonstration of new electrical and propulsion system concepts. /ph3Main activities: /h3ulliParticipate to the technology incubation process up to the industrialization handover (TRL 1-6) /liliLead the system integration process from requirement capture, through architecture definition, to interface specification /liliManage the sys. prototype configuration, development, qualification, installation and acceptance (either in house or externally - by contract)



/liliKeep track of the numerical simulation and experimental test results as means of compliance to the system requirements /liliSupport the project reviews with technical reports, presentations and system integration status /liliCoordinate with internal and external partners or suppliers, on the assigned projects /li /ulh3HARD SKILLS: /h3ulliSTEM degree (preferably master in Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering). /liliAircraft installation and qualification standards knowledge (e.g. DO160). /liliMATLAB/Simulink and/or NI/LabVIEW knowledge. /liliMicrosoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point). /liliFluent English, both written and spoken. /liliItalian mother tongue, or full proficiency. /li /ulh3SOFT SKILLS: /h3ulliProactive, motivated, creative and willing to innovate. /liliFamiliarity with project management principles /liliExcellent communication skills including presentation and active listening. /liliCapable to build relationships / engage stakeholders in complex environments. /liliEntrepreneurial attitude. /liliInternational mindset. /li /ulh3NICE TO HAVE: /h3ulliInterest / willing to learn about Electrical Engineering* (if Aeronautical) or Aeronautical Engineering (if Electrical) * with focus on Electrical Machines - principles of operation, modeling and simulation /liliComputer Aid Design (CAD) understanding and software primer (preferably CATIA)
