Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist III to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and optimize supply chain operations. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to achieve cost savings and process improvements while supporting procurement of critical materials and services.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations
Manage supplier relationships and contracts to deliver cost savings and risk mitigation
Conduct spend analytics and identify process improvements across categories
Collaborate across global matrix teams to build consensus and optimize supply chain
Apply lean and continuous improvement methodologies to procurement operations
Requirements
Advanced degree plus 3 years procurement experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years in mid-to-large multinational procurement
Category management expertise in regulated industries (life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals preferred)
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM desirable
Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analytics, and procurement tools
Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills
Fluency in English; additional languages beneficial
Ability to travel *****% as required
