h3About The Role /h3 pWe're looking for a software developer who enjoys building things that solve real business problems — and who cares about how those things run once they're live. This is a broad role in a small engineering organization. You'll build internal and customer-facing applications, prototype new ideas, and work close to the infrastructure those applications run on. If you like moving between product work and the systems side rather than staying in one lane, this role is designed for you. Our stack is deliberately pragmatic rather than uniform: TypeScript and React on the frontend, with Scala, Python, Node.js, and Go across various services, all running on AWS. We care more about your engineering fundamentals than the specific languages on your resume — strong developers pick up a new stack quickly, and we'll give you the time to do it. This will be an on site position with some hybrid work from home flexibility. Must be available to have some overlap with our US based team. bThe gross annual salary for this role is $30,000 - $50,000 USD /b /p h3Job Description /h3 h3What You'll Do /h3 ul liProduct Application Development /li liBuild and maintain modern web applications, from UI through to API and data layer. /li liDevelop new product features and improve existing applications. /li liIntegrate third-party APIs and external services. /li liBuild internal tools and automations that remove manual work from business processes. /li liTranslate business requirements into reliable, maintainable software. /li liTroubleshoot issues and improve application performance and reliability. /li liParticipate in code reviews and help raise the bar on engineering practices. /li /ul h3Infrastructure Operations /h3 ul liWork with AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Route 53).
/li liContribute to infrastructure defined as code using Terraform or CloudFormation. /li liHelp maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments, and improve the workflows around environments, releases, and debugging. /li liContribute to monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing — including dashboards and alerts that are actually actionable. /li liTake part in investigating production issues, root-cause analysis, and the follow-up fixes that prevent repeats. /liliApply sound security practices: least-privilege IAM, network security, encryption, secrets management, and secure configuration. /li liKeep an eye on AWS spend — right-sizing, autoscaling, and retiring what isn't being used. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liSeveral years building and shipping production web applications end to end. /li liStrong programming fundamentals in a modern typed or backend language, and the ability to become productive in a new one quickly. /li liSolid frontend skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with a modern component framework (React or equivalent). /li liHands-on experience running applications on AWS or a comparable cloud platform. /li liPractical experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure as code. /li liComfort operating what you build — debugging production issues, reading logs and metrics, and improving reliability over time. /li liExperience with SQL and relational databases.
/li liExperience integrating REST APIs and third-party services. /li liGit and pull-request-based collaboration. /li liStrong analytical skills and clear written and verbal communication. /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liTypeScript. /li liScala, Python, Go, or Node.js. /li liTerraform specifically, and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes). /li liObservability tooling — metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting platforms. /li liExperience building applications on top of AI services or LLM APIs. /li liFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code. /li liExposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance work. /li liExperience building automation or workflow tooling. /li /ul h3How You Work /h3 ul liYou take initiative, take ownership, and follow work through to completion without needing to be chased. /li liYou're resourceful and enjoy practical technical problems, including the unglamorous ones. /li liYou pick up new technologies quickly and apply them sensibly. /li liYou communicate clearly — progress, blockers, and technical decisions — and collaborate well. /li liYou ship high-quality, practical solutions rather than over-engineering. /li liYou have a product mindset and care whether the software actually creates impact. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liDirect impact: the products and systems you build are the ones the business runs on. /li liEnd-to-end ownership of meaningful projects, from idea through release and operation. /li liUnusual breadth for one role — product engineering and the infrastructure underneath it. /li liA collaborative environment focused on learning and continuous improvement. /li /ul pAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
