The role requires the ability to operate across two very different modes: managing witness testing with a production-oriented mindset (planning, scheduling, throughput) and supporting product development with a test-engineering approach. Today's workload ratio is approximately 70/30 in favour of witness testing.What kind of work will you be doing?Factory Witness TestingPlans and schedules the witness test backlog,



managing capacity of 6 technicians to meet committed delivery datesCoordinates with Sales/Commercial teams to align customer visit schedules with lab availabilityEnsures test setups are prepared on time and executed according to standardized proceduresMonitors throughput and turnaround times; identifies and resolvesbottlenecks to maintain production-line efficiencyOwns test reporting and documentation delivered to customersProduct Development TestingPlans and tracks laboratory tests supporting R&D projectsCollaborates with Engineering to define test requirements, feasibility, and prioritiesOversees test execution, data quality, and reporting from techniciansParticipates in product testing at designated external laboratories when requiredGeneral / Continuous ImprovementManages daily allocation and coordination of 6 laboratory technicians across both workstreamsDrives standardization of test procedures and introduction of new methodsImplements and monitors maintenance and calibration plans for facilities and instrumentsWorks with the Lab Manager to improve safety, efficiency, and facility conditionsWhat will make you successful?Master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar (e.G., thermodynamics or energetics)



or equivalent long-term experience in a similar roleAt least 4 years in a supervisory role managing teams in a test/production environment with schedule-driven deliverablesProven ability to manage workload planning and resource allocation for a team (6+ people)Experience in customer-facing technical environments (e.G., witness testing, FAT, commissioning, or technical demonstrations)Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to shifting priorities without compromising delivery commitmentsKnowledge of instrumentation, measurement techniques, and HVAC systemsFluent in Italian and English; proficient in MS OfficeThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALSSafety. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.
