Overview

As Principal Project Engineer you solve complex project engineering challenges and lead engineering delivery for high-stakes LNG and EPC projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, safety, and timely execution while aligning with contract requirements. You drive technical solutions, coordinate interfaces, and support handover and lessons learned to strengthen future projects. This role offers impact across a global energy engineering organization and a path to senior leadership within project engineering.

Responsabilità

- Manage the assigned portion of engineering scope for the McDermott project
- Facilitate cross-discipline communication across operating centres
- Establish and uphold project procedures to meet contract quality and technical content
- Direct technical execution to support project business considerations
- Serve as interface between operating centres and disciplines; follow up on Change Orders
- Provide guidance to less experienced engineers and coordinate with design leads
- Ensure effective communications among engineering disciplines and document decisions
- Prepare and review meeting minutes; support weekly/monthly management reports




- Manage change proactively; maintain Project Engineering documents
- Coordinate third-party interfaces and oversee handover/archiving of completed projects
- Promote safety in designs and work processes
- Review client and project requirements; support lessons learned and process improvements
- Liaise with PEM, PM, discipline leads, construction/fabrication teams, and project controls

Requisiti fondamentali

- At least 10 years of Project Engineering experience and minimum 5 years as Project Engineering Manager on a project
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
- Experience with LNG projects at EPC stage
- Experience with MOPEX strategy in projects
- Experience in a JV environment
- Field assignment experience
- Broad technical knowledge of detail design engineering codes and standards
- Ability to read contractual documentation and communicate with stakeholders
