Summary The primary objective of this role is to manage the procurement of essential construction materials within the Maiduguri region. The position focuses on securing high-quality resources such as cement, iron, sand, granite, and fittings from a diverse supplier base to ensure uninterrupted project progress. By maintaining strict quality control and timely delivery standards, the role plays a critical part in preventing site delays and safeguarding project integrity. Responsibilities
• Solicit and compare pricing for key construction materials including cement, iron, sand, granite, and fittings from a minimum of three different suppliers in Maiduguri.




• Conduct negotiations to secure optimal terms and execute purchases only after receiving formal approval.
• Coordinate logistics to guarantee the timely arrival of materials at the construction site, ensuring that work crews are never idle due to supply shortages.
• Obtain and file all necessary documentation, including receipts and waybills, to maintain accurate procurement records.
• Perform rigorous quality inspections to verify that materials meet specifications, specifically screening for counterfeit cement and ensuring iron bars are of the correct size.
