A Company leader in Retail Industry is looking for an HR Cost Controller to join our team in Milan who will be responsible for leading global people cost planning and delivering workforce analytics to support strategic business decisions. The role is responsible for managing people cost budgeting, forecasting, and review processes, while delivering insightful analyses that integrate HR, financial, productivity, and business data.

Key responsibilities
• Drive the global people cost budgeting, forecasting, and periodic review cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Track headcount trends and personnel expenses, identifying variances and underlying cost drivers.
• Contribute to workforce planning by developing financial models, scenarios, and forecasting analyses.
• Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain consistency and accuracy across planning activities.
• Generate advanced insights by integrating workforce, financial, productivity, and business performance data.
• Establish, track, and evaluate key people and organizational performance metrics.




• Provide strategic insights and scenario-based recommendations to support decision-making processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR reporting and planning capabilities, enhancing data integrity and operational efficiency.
• Work in partnership with IT teams to advance the automation, digitalization, and scalability of HR reporting and analytics processes.

Experience:
• 4+ years of experience in HR Controlling, People Analytics, Workforce Planning or Cost Controlling.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Expertise in people cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in Excel and BI tools (Power BI or similar); knowledge of SAP/SuccessFactors is an advantage.
• Thrive in dynamic environments by combining flexibility, precision, accountability, and a strong attention to detail in your day-to-day work.
• Communicate in English, both written and spoken.
