This role is crucial for ensuring that financial resources are managed effectively to support programme implementation and donor reporting. The assistant will process transactions, perform reconciliations, manage revenue and contributions, assist with cash forecasting, and monitor funds. By maintaining reliable financial information and ensuring accurate recording and monitoring of resources, the Finance Assistant directly contributes to UNICEF's mission of delivering for every child.ResponsibilitiesThe Finance Assistant is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including contributions, receivables, and remittances, ensuring all are properly documented and reconciled. This includes assisting with revenue management, cash forecasting, and fund monitoring to ensure financial resources are available for programme implementation.



The role involves maintaining reliable financial records and supporting month-end and year-end closure activities, including the preparation of financial reports and follow-up on outstanding items. The assistant will also be involved in identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial data and system records. Furthermore, the position requires coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of financial issues and providing operational finance and administrative support. Support for systems, data quality, and process improvement within the finance function is also a key responsibility.EducationCompletion of Secondary Education is required.
