A Mechanical Package Manager is required for a major engineering and construction project in Milan, Italy. This opportunity is suited to an experienced mechanical construction professional with a strong background in mechanical package delivery, subcontractor management and complex engineering projects.

The Mechanical Package Manager will take responsibility for coordinating mechanical installation packages throughout the construction lifecycle, from site installation and quality assurance through to testing, commissioning support and final handover.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of mechanical construction packages, work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams and contribute to the successful delivery of a complex international project.

The Mechanical Package Manager Role:

- Manage mechanical work packages throughout the construction lifecycle, including installation, coordination, quality assurance and handover.
- Oversee mechanical subcontractors, monitoring site activities, workforce levels, installation progress and programme delivery.
- Coordinate mechanical installation works with engineering teams, project managers, consultants and other contractors.
- Monitor construction schedules,



project milestones and subcontractor performance to support timely package delivery.
- Oversee technical documentation, construction drawings, BIM coordination, RFIs and installation work packages.
- Ensure mechanical installations comply with project specifications, technical requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections, snagging, commissioning-related handover activities and final project documentation, including O&M; manuals.
- Identify and resolve technical and site coordination issues to maintain construction progress.

Mechanical Package Manager Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years' experience working within an established engineering or construction environment.
- Experience as a Mechanical Package Manager or in a comparable mechanical construction management position.
- Proven experience coordinating mechanical construction works and managing subcontractors on complex projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical installation processes, engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Ability to manage project schedules, subcontractor performance, technical coordination and competing site priorities.
- Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good IT skills and proficiency with software used for engineering and construction project delivery.
- Must hold a valid EU passport.
