Technical Director — Commercial & Industrial Solar PV

Candidates must have professional experience in solar PV or electrical engineering, including responsibility for technical review, project engineering or an engineering team. Applicants without relevant work experience will not be considered. Academic projects or internships alone do not meet the requirements of this position.

We are seeking a Technical Director to guide the assessment, design and technical delivery of commercial and industrial solar projects.

You will work with customer engineering teams, consultants and contractors to turn site information into practical designs and well-supported technical decisions.

⚙️ Your responsibilities

- Lead site assessments, feasibility reviews and PV system design reviews.
- Validate system sizing, equipment selection and energy-yield assumptions.
- Coordinate structural, electrical and grid-connection inputs with qualified specialists.
- Review supplier submissions,



installation drawings and technical specifications.
- Resolve engineering interfaces and evaluate proposed design changes.
- Establish commissioning procedures, acceptance criteria and handover requirements.
- Investigate performance issues and guide appropriate corrective action.
- Support engineers and maintain clear technical documentation.

? Local technical knowledge Experience working with Italian electrical contractors, PV installers, engineering consultants and equipment suppliers would be valuable. Relationships with factory engineering or facility-management teams are also useful.

You should be able to assess specialist advice independently and explain technical trade-offs to commercial and project-delivery colleagues.

Professional communication: Italian and English.
