The R&D; Developer reports to the Product Development Manager and collaborates with the R&D; team in the managing and developing of project research focused on the compounding of polypropylene and/or technopolymers. He/she is responsible for carrying out laboratory analyses and activities, making technical observations, interpreting the results obtained, preparing technical reports and quantitative reports to support project activities.
Main Activities
- Development, modification and improvement of existing products, in line with technical and application requirements;
- Optimisation of product formulations and related manufacturing processes;
- Support for the development of new products in the field of polypropylene and/or technopolymer compounding;
- Definition and updating of technical product specifications;
- Planning and carrying out laboratory tests and analyses, including special analyses;
- Analysis and interpretation of experimental results and data obtained from tests;
- Preparation of technical and quantitative reports relating to research and development activities;
- Collaboration with the R&D; team throughout the different phases of product development projects;
- Provision of technical support in solving issues related to products, formulations and processes.
Requirements Of The Position
- Master's degree in Chemistry;
- 0-3 years of experience;
- Good English language skills, both writing and speaking;
- Good knowledge of Office, especially Excel;
- Good knowledge of polymers and polymers processing particularly considering PP and it composites;
- Knowledge of the most common instruments used for polymers characterization: analytical tests (IR, DSC, DMA, …) and mechanical tests (preferable);
- Basics of polymer molding: injection molding, extrusion, blow molding (preferable).

Job Classification, Compensation And Benefits
The position is regulated by the CCNL Gomma Plastica Industria contract. The salary range for this position is approximately between €26,000 and €35,000 gross per year, determined on the basis of experience, skills and the responsibilities required by the role. The position within the range will be determined according to objective and transparent criteria, in line with the responsibilities of the role.
